Day 29 - A picture of you on your last vacation

September 7-10, 2011

Manila-Cagayan De Oro-Camiguin-Cagayan De Oro-Manila

Whew! This is it! Our recent vacation. Grabe! Thanks to Cebu Pacific at nakapag avail kami ng piso fare! :)

We have spent months of planning and thinking about what to do. Pero ang ending? Wala kaming itinerary! As in zero! Go with the flow na lang kaming tatlo.

Day 1 - 4:15am flight to CDO

Woohooo!! We arrived CDO around 5:45am. After yosi, dapat didiretso na kami sa Camiguin. Change of plans. Dahil kailangan na mag confort room ni Karen, we decided to go to her tita's house. Yey! Sarap ng breakfast. Pero bigla kaming tinamaan ng antok dahil galing kaming shift before the flight. We woke up around lunch na and we realized that we would not be able to make it to Camiguin the same day dahil hanggang 4:30pm lang ang last trip ng ferry. Okay, plan B kami. We rented a van going to Balingoan Port at nagbakasakali na aabot kami. Unfortunately, we didn't. So we decided to stay in a pension house in Balingoan and take the earliest trip to Benoni Port the next day. Ferry boat to Benoni costs Php 170 per head plus Php 7.00 terminal fee.

Day 2 - We went straight to J&A Fishpen around 7:30am. This was our first stop.
First stop was at J&A Fishpen. Sobrang gutom na kasi namin. Pagbaba ng Benoni Port, madaming nagaalok ng transportation. I've read a few blogs na din before this trip. So napag alaman ko, na makakamura by renting a multicab. We paid Php 1,500. For the whole day na yun. Anyway, sulit dito sa kinainan namin. Dampa style. Great food!

Katibawasan Falls
Next was Katibawasan Falls. May entrance fee na Php 15 per head. May monkey pa sa bungad. Wowie is the name. Kami pa lang ang tao doon when we arrived. :)

Ardent Hot Springs
Tourist spot #2 - Ardent Hot Springs. Wow.. Hehehhehe.. Well, not bad. Pero hindi din kami nagtagal. Kasi gusto namin talaga maikot lahat.

White Island
Eto na ang dream namin. We have read good reviews about it kaya super na excite kami dito. To reach this island, you have to rent a pump boat which is Php 400 plus Php 20 per head. The boat, I think, can accommodate 6-7 pax. Sabi ng mga tao doon, best time to go there is around 10am or 11am. Kasi high tide pa if you go earlier than that. You won't really enjoy the beach. Buti na lang, 11am kami nakarating doon. And to my surprise, this place is so captivating! Siguro mga 6 or 7 people lang nandoon when we arrived. Ang peaceful.

Walkway
Nagpicture lang kami dito sa bungad! hahahhaha! Super taas kasi ng lalakarin. Stations of the Cross sya..

Sunken Cemetery
Next was the Sunken Cemetery. Pwede pumunta doon mismo sa may cross pero you will ride a boat. As in yung may sagwan. :) Pero we just took picture of it. :) Medyo gutom na din kami by this time. :)

The Old Church
This old church was built in 1871. Nandito din yung mga trees na malalaki. :) Sarap mag picture! :)

Sto. Nino Cold Spring
Our last stop in Camiguin. Dito, Entrance is Php 20 per head and Php 50 for the shed. Dito na din kami kumain at naligo before we head back to Benoni Port. Dito na din kami bumili ng souvenir shirts na pasalubong for our loved ones.

This ended our Camiguin trip! :) I'll feature our water rafting in my next post! :)

Happy Trip!
