Movie: A Secret Affair
Nagiging trend ang paggawa ng ganitong klase ng pelikula. First, it was No Other Woman. Nasundan ng My Neighbor's Wife. Sinundan pa ng The Mistress. And now, A Secret Affair.
Gusto ko talaga itong panoorin. Curiosity kills the cat nga naman. Sila Anne and Derek kasi ang bida who by the way are also the lead stars of No Other Woman. Inisip ko na parang comparison lang ang magaganap. Nagustuhan ko ang No Other Woman kaya kinailangan ko talagang panoorin ang pelikulang ito.
Umpisa pa lang ng pelikula, Nina was singing the theme song of the movie "Don't Say Goodbye". In which, this was the venue where Anton (Derek) proposed to Raffy (Anne), his girlfriend for about 2 months. Ang bilis the pangyayari. Raffy said "yes" to the proposal. But what happened was Raffy decided not to push through with the wedding just the night before. Runaway bride ang drama.
Sam (Andi) was there to be the "casual hook up" as they say. Sam is Raffy's sorority sister. Anton met her before he met Raffy. He didn't know they were friends until their night out. So there goes the main plot. Sam being in love with Anton and Anton being in love with Raffy. Typical love triangle.
Raffy came back with a clearer mind and they got together again. And so the secret affair. Dito na umikot ang story. I dontt want to be a full spoiler so better watch the film. :)
Ang maganda sa pelikula, ang fierce ng lines. Ang galing talaga ng pinoy. It was a huge break for Andi. She did a superb job in this film. Ang galing ng pagkakaportray ng bawat isa sa kani kanilang mga roles. Sabi nga nila, there are no small roles. It was a good ending for me. Not the typical but it was the right decision.
Here are the memorable lines in the film:
"Marriage is a sentence. A life sentence. It has to be served."
"Eh diba kahit alam natin na mali ang isang bagay, ginagawa pa rin natin kasi kailangan."
"Sana pati ugali pwede i-photoshop noh?"
"So how long has this secret affair has been going on? Actually, it doesn't matter. One day, one week, one month, a year or two years, it is still an affair."
"What do you want me to believe? That it is possible for you to be physically unfaithful and emotionally faithful?"
"Cheating is not an accident. It's a choice."
"Nasa yoga ako pero gusto kong pumatay ng tao."
"Don't confuse love with sex, sweetie."
"Alam mo saan masarap magkape? Sa burol mo."
"Shut up. Bitch ka lang, ako super bitch."
"Anong ikakaso mo sa akin?"
"Trespassing? Eh di ba asawa ko ang nagbabayad dito? Adultery? Eh diba ako nga ang asawa?"
"Now, you're threatening me?"
"It's not a threat. It's a promise."
"Betrayal and infidelity in secret is still betrayal and infidelity."
Madami pang linyang nabitawan na swak sa panlasa ng Pinoy. Overall, i liked it better than The Mistress! :)
