Day 47 - A picture that can always make you smile

I really took a picture of this. Simple yet so memorable...

It says:

"You have a beautiful voice. Always thank God for your talent. God bless you always. Thanks for sharing your gift of music."

A note like this will never fail to make you smile...

This note came from a girl who ate at the restaurant where I sing. She was with an older lady who seems to be her mom to me.

While I am singing on stage, this lady approached me and handed me this tissue paper. Folded into two. Thinking that it was a song request, I continued singing and ignored it. But then she leaned towards me and whispered, "It's not a request. It is a note for you..". I saw a smile on her face as she went back to her seat. I was curious and so I opened it while singing.. I couldn't hide the smile in my face as I read through each and every word written. I even couldn't believe it as I read it over and over again. I ended the second set of my gig with a huge smile on my face.

It was time for me to eat dinner. I was luckily seated next to them. I was too shy to approach them to say thank you. But they were about to leave. The girl smiled at me and asked if I read the note and I said "Yes!". She pat my back and told me that I have a very good voice. I was speechless. Until now, I still have that inferiority complex. I always think that I am not a good singer. I just know how to sing. But I have to learn that God gave me this talent and people appreciate what I do.

I immediately took a picture of the note. This will always remind me to be appreciative and be thankful. I thank God for giving me the gift of music. This will always make me smile... :)
